Changing a 2000(1?) Buick Park Avenue into a manual shift prices/ recommendations?

OK, im 14, and my step-dad and mom have been telling me for a few years now that when i turn 16, they'll give me my step-dad's (2000 or 2001) Buick Park Avenue. I've been helping pay for a few of the repairs (like re-tinting the windows) because i wanna help, and because it might be my car some day.
Now the only thing is that it is an automatic shifting engine. I'm cool with that, but i wanna live a little and go for a manual shifter.
First Question: Is this possible? (Switching from automatic to manual?)
Second Question: If so, approximately how much will this switch cost? The car is in fairly good condition for 10 years of (ab)use. (We bought it used 2 years ago)
My last question: Do you recommend me going to a manual as my first car?
Thanks!
I'm talking about having a full stick-shift thing going on, you know?
also, i have run this idea by my parents, and they're willing to throw some money into this idea if the car becomes mine, since its probably cheaper than buying a different car... right?
Ok, well how much would it cost if it is the right size, height w/e?
And what if it wasn't available in manual? Will the switch not even be possible?
