Changes to Bell Magazine

Reading your earlier post I ask if you are sure that the customer service order desk remembers to tell every customer who calls for TV,
An automatically generate charge of $2 for the free magazine will be added to your account if you chose to downgrade your TV subscription below a certain minimum. It would be the sole responsibility of the subscriber to notify Expressvu if they no longer wish to continue with the service of this magazine when and if they go below this minimum..
cause I missed that part when I ordered my TV service.
Better still you can ask the guy from the mag, who pms you to tell you what to say, when will they stop this shady practice?

I see that absolutely everyone missed the main point of my post.

[rant]It costs money to produce Bell Magazine and pay for postage to mail it to customers. It doesn't matter what slight of hand EV does with their billing. It costs money and that money must be recovered from EV customers.[/rant]

Anyone get it now.

here is a link for the bell tv magazine to answer to all rumors:http://canadianmags.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html
scroll down and you'll see the big title:Bell Tv Become Show come September as Spafax take over.

I received the new magazine in french, Extra. 3 interested things :

1- RDS HD. Full page with the logo and it's write : October 2007. So i guess Bell will add this channel.

2- The last page of the magazine said that Bell will launch a new satellite in spring 2008 to continue to offer new services and a lot of new things.

3- Page 59 (french guide), First half of 2008 : Bell will launch a new satellite to continue to offer interactive TV, HD channels, better quality signal and better reception.

But...Nimiq 4 will be launched in 2008 but it's not for replace Nimiq 4iR ?

I certainly woudn't use your option to get the Primeur magazine...Express Vu still offers it and it only cost 1$/month to the client. Why would I use your option and pay 1$ more per month?

For Nimiq 1...the Bell TV mag is free for all clients that have more than 5 theme packs. When we select programming and client picks more than 5 theme lots of agent will add the magazine as well. Just be careful if you downgrde your programming to mention that you also want to cancel the magazine, beause if you say, for exemple I want to cancel my theme packs, just go to basics, most agents woudn't remove the mag since you didn't mention the mag itself.

Did anyone call about the advertising about HD shows BEV customers can't actually receive in HD?

Bell TV will now be called SHOW (English) and EXTRA (French)

It will be launched on August 27th and first issue will be out in September

Got it.
Got it the first time.
Agent Express V just doesn't get it.

Although I do appreciate her input.

the new magazine is None sence. No tv guide in it!! what the heck is the point of the magainze then. Its good to start firepit fires though up at the cottage.

agent express v again you do not read what the poster said.

Lindsay649 said they did not like this version (show, but did not give it a name)or the previous one (That's the one before show but did not give it a name.) They said they liked the one with the listing.(they did not give a name for that) For you to say they are confused is to say you no what they like and they do not.
They just said they liked the mag with the listing and you say they are confused!
I think you are confused because you don't take the time to read the posts.

What will be next if you discontinue your bell after 30 days you get a bill for $2 for your mag and you find it will take another $2 and 30 days to end your subscription. Once more you turned what should have been a good thing into a negative with nonsensical "Expressvu Policy"

With baited breath I watched my lovely wife drop the much anticipated "Show" magazine on the kitchen table after retrieving our mail.

Hands trembling....I picked up the copy, hoping that there would be something interesting, enlightening, maybe even informative to entertain me.

Nope.

Just another publication pimping pay per view and Vu!

What a piece of poop.

Actually, it did inform me that Fantasy Island is coming to TV Land in September.

It seaks for itself...on th bill you see it credited as magazine credit. If you dn't have the magazine anymore it's only normal that the credit won't be there

That 2$ is given only cause there is a 2$ being charged for the magazine...that credit cancels the charge. It is not like we give you a 2$ rebate on the service. If that was the case it would be a different story!

So does offering channels that "nobody" wants to watch. Or interactive games that "nobody" plays. Or having a PPV service that "nobody" uses.

There's always something that *could* be eliminated to pass on savings to the customers. Is the magazine that thing? Well, Agent EV mentioned that there are customers that call in if they don't receive their magazine, so I guess "someone" is reading it and wants it.

Starting to get the picture of why so many people are disgruntled with EV? It's not like EV lies to their CSRs, then they lie to their customers, or is it? EV, unlike most other BDUs, unilaterally stopped supplying Entertainment magazine and replaced it with the useless piece of toilet paper called Bell Magazine. This adds about $2/mo to every EV subscribers' monthly cost but EV just lies to their subs by claiming there is no charge. All I have to say to that claim is bull $#!^?! I even asked EV to stop sending it but all they did was take the charge and credit off my bill. (I never did receive the credit that was erroneously omitted.) Who do do you thinks pays for EV Rag if not the customers?! Is there an altruistic donor who is paying for it? Meanwhile, EV subs must pay $2/mo extra for Entertainment Magazine if they still want it.

Like I said, BS. There's no such thing as a free magazine. Someone pays for it and it sure ain't the tooth fairy.

It certainly was available after EV stopped offering it. Entertainment Mag offered subscriptions for $16/year and I received one issue. Their subscription department seems to have problems though (issues were often missed.) Maybe they put the price up and EV was too cheap to absorb the cost or didn't want to pass it along. OTOH, maybe EV got tired of fielding complaints over missed issues.

Lets face it if you had to call in and subscribe to this mag it would fall on its bum. Whatever they say if you get charged for it its negative market advertising and they should be prosecuted. Just like a pirate. They wonder why some people don't like Bell.
