Agent, I am subscribed to the French version and it announces it right on the front cover "Le mois prochain : EXTRA, notre nouveau look".

There is also mention of it on Page 2 : "

I just saw my new EXTRA magazine...not much in there! No schedules, only articles... Sorry, there are schedules, but only for PPV!

The only good thing, at the end there is a section that gives a few tips on how to read the bill, hook to a telephne line, order PPV...that could help new clients!

Movie Entertainment Magazine is indeed still "printed by the editor" and is available to Star Choice, Rogers, Videotron, Cogeco, Eastlink, Persona subscribers wherever TMN is available. Bell dropped the magazine a year or so ago on its own. You can subscribe separately if you wish.

Hah.. So upon reading the new issue of SHOW over dinner. I noticed page 4 that i can watch Jekyll on showcase on wednesday august 29 in HD no less... HD they say.. IM pretty sure I should call about this, and this is what they had to say.

Well my supervisor says that we dont offer showcase HD currently but perhaps if you tune to the showcase channel indicated in the SHOW magazine perhaps you can watch it in HD...

I says.. whaaaa? Thanked the poor CSR for his time and said goodnight.

Good point - hopefully it will become something useful. Bbased on receiving the old one for a number of years (and finding it a waste of paper as it had little content that was of interest to me personally), I would have preferred the $2 go into my pocket rather than the publisher/canada post, had that been an option. The cost for Bell is the same.

If after a couple of months the content is still not what people want (everyone wants different things) then I encourage them to be environmentally friendly. Cancel so that they don't print as many killing trees or at least recycle it :)

Bell TV never gave a complete listing of the programming...

I personnaly e-mailed the magazine and gave them the comments received by the clients, keep it a few more months, just to see

Whatever they say if you get charged for it its negative market advertising and they should be prosecuted.
You conveniently forget to ask the customer if he wants to pay for his free mag (no?) if he changes his programing.
In this case I do not see any difference in Expressvu and the pirates that they whine about. They both break the law.

This is not what we were told, but I keep the info in mind if someone request the magazine

As for the Bell Tv French I just realised that I didn't look at the latest issue, and haven't received it!

But I do not pay for it.

Also it serves a great purpose for me as well, so I actually find it useful.

I just got my latest bill, there was no $2 credit for this junk. So it would appear its no longer free. Gotta call today to cancel and get my $2 back.

By a fluke, I happen to get both ... english and french Movie Entertainment Magazine.

Primeurs can be had for $24/yr and contains info about movies, and Super Ecran programming. Write to service_clientele at superecran.com or call Feature Publications at 514 939 5036.

Movie Entertainment can be had for $24/yr and contains info about movies, and TMN programming. Write to editor at feature.ca or call 866 332 8878.

You can also try moveientertainment dot ca or featuremagazine dot com.

Just because Bell has snubbed its nose at a perfectly useful duo of magazines about movies on its services doesn't mean either magazine has gone out of business.

At my house, Movie Entertainment goes by the remote, and Bell TV goes right into the recycling bin as it is pure crap.

Isn't it interesting that they'll push the magazine on you "even if it's free" (which you don't really have a choice anyway because I specifically told them that I didn't care if they paid me to receive it, I didn't want it but I'm still getting it) but, when you downgrade your subscription and somehow aren't eligible for the $2 credit anymore there's no mention of it?

I despise deceitful marketing practices unfortunately it seems to be the norm on the Canadian telecommunication scene. I'd be so willing to transfer all of my services to the one company who could actually be truthful in their advertisement, actually get what they promise me on the invoice and be up-front about all of their services (and their downsides). Instead I'm stuck refusing any extras just for the sake of not having to deal with all of the BS that comes with it.

Sad really. As for the new magazine I didn't think it was possible but it's even more useless than the previous one. No information whatsoever about when the popular shows new seasons start (one would think with a September release...). Plenty of useless brain-dead trivia crap though. I guess they have finally realized what their target demographic is.

I think the quality of the Magazine has improved but I will not pay $2.00 for it.

My current bill (August) still shows the credit.

Cheers

Haystack in the case that the client would have to pay for the magazine, he is always aware of the involved cost. If someone with 2 themes call and add it we then tell that person it would increase her monthly cost by 2$.

It is very rare that we will use that magazine as the sales attempt on a call where client has less than 5 themes.

An again, we dont add anythig on an account unless client has cnfirm he agrees

The Bell TV magazine (now EXTRA or SHOW) is free to all clients that have 5 theme packs or more

On your bill you see a 2$ charge on the programming a section, then, further, you see a 2$ credit in the section of credit and adjustements. That makes it free, no?

I you call wanting to "downgrade" your programming to only one theme saying:"Remove all my theme and keep only Sports 1" it is very possible that the agent won't remove it, since you only discussed the themes. In that case you will be charged for the magazine. Make sure if you go under 5 themes to ask the magazine to be removed as well if you don't read it

I get the Bell mag too, never asked for it but as they charge me $2 and then credit me the $2 I save it to light the Wood-stove during Winter.

Thanks Bell Express Vu, this product is worth everything it costs me, NOTHING.....

Lindsay the Bell TV magazine never offered a complete listing of thefilms presented on Movie Network, it seem you are confusing it with Entertainement magazine.

We were told when they removed it that Entertainemnt was no longer printed by the editor which seems not to be the case according to previous post
