Changed outgoing name,everything going to spam, even after adding to contact list?

I changed my outgoing name (just added my last name), but when I emailed myself to check, it went straight to spam. Added to my contact list, still spam. Tried taking off last name, going back to original, still spam, even after adding that to contact list. Will my emails now also go to my friend's spam (I have no way to alert him)? Please help! Thanks!
