Is there any way to lower my phone bill? consider my use:

Line 1: no data, < 20 text/month , ~100 minutes a month to verizon users
Line 2: no data, < 50 text/month, ~1500-2000 minutes a month to verizon users, ~1000 minutes/month to non verizon
Line 3: no data, 1500 texts/month to verizon, ~1500 texts/month to non-verizon, 200 minutes to non-verizon.

So I get by on the Verizon Basic Family Share 1400 minutes ($80), line 2 ($10) + 500 messages($5), line 3($10) + 1500 messages($15)= $120/month.

Add in all the fees, taxes, and stuff it's another $15, so I'm at $135/month.

Lines 1 & 2 contract is over in early feb, line 3 contract is over in July.

Is there any obvious way to lower my monthly rate by switching plans or going to another carrier?

OR is there any plan out there that could give me unlimited texts across the board for a similar or lower price as what I'm paying now. BTW I'm in Boston.

It really depends on the carrier coverage in your area. Is Verizon the best for you? It may be more expensive, but if they have the best coverage, it is worth it. Changing to another carrier to save $20 a month that has less coverage doesn't seem to make sense.

Your best bet is to find out what carriers work the best in your area, and go from there.

T-Mobile EM+ unlimited talk/text family plan - $99.99 (for lines 2 & 3)
200 minutes AAL (line 1) - $9.99 (200 anytime minutes + unlimited text + unlimited WN/WK)

But you have to buy your own phones but there is no contract involve.
