This is VERY silly so please dont be offensive. I no longer have my lovely roomates to seek for questions like these. I'm going camping with a bunch of friends in a few days and I'm most definately due for my period. We're going to be floating down the Susquehana River for ALL of Friday - we're leaving around 8am and we'll probably touch back to the campsite at sundown. I'll more than likely have my period, damnit. Not on any type of birth control, so I cant postpone my period or anything. We all have our own rafts and sometimes drift apart. I know this is an awkward question, but how on earth do you suggest I change my tampon while floating down this damn river? We wont be taking any rest stops considering there's somewhat of a heavy current and we'll have food with us and everything. Excuse me for this question haha. Girls...HELP

wear a tampon and a pad and just wear them all day until you can change it. then if the tampon gets too full the pad will catch the extra

How are you supposed to go to the bathroom if you won't be taking any rest stops?
Since you'll have your own raft, you can bring a bag with tampons and a bag to dispose of your used ones in. Also, have a towel to place over your lap and wear loose shorts...and if the current isn't too heavy, you can try to change tampons that way.
But keep in mind...you can leave a tampon in for up to 8 hours. You could put one in right before you leave in the morning, and also wear a slim pad or panty liner just in case you leak.

Hmmm... maybe you can bring extra tampons and put them in a zip lock bag, so they don't get wet haha and put a towel over yourself and "down there" and change your tampon and throw it into the water and try put in another one :]
