I'm a senior in high school, and I'm narrowing down my list of colleges as of now since I will be applying soon. I have a list of both "Safety" and "Target" schools, however, I'm realizing that the only schools on these lists that I'll really be happy at are Temple University, and Rutgers New Brunswick. I have a pretty good academic record, however my SATs are really low. Seeing as I'm really banking on getting into these schools, I was wondering what you think my chances are of getting in?
My GPA is a 96.9545 unweighted which I plan on bringing up, and I've been on the honor roll all through high school.
I'm taking all academic classes as well as two years of Honors English, one year of Honors chem., and this year I will be taking AP English. I have also taken two college courses at the local university-- Psychology and Public Speaking-- which were both worth three college credits.
I am in five of my schools clubs, one of which I am president of. I am also a 4 year member of both my school's band and chorus, and a three year member of the National Honor Society.
However, my SAT scores were awful 990/1600, 1490/2400. I am however, taking them for a third time and hoping for the best. I may even give the ACTs a try.
I am also a PA resident so I would be in state for Temple.
Anyway, will I be able to get in despite my SAT scores?
