Hey guys,

I have a friend who swears by Chaga powder for her asthma. Has anyone else tried it? I want to order some but wanna see if anyone else has had success with it.

Thanks!

There is a caution against using it if you are hypoglycemic. Also, since it is found on the bark of birch trees, I would think anyone with a birch tree allergy or a corresponding nut allergy ( I think it's hazelnuts for birch but not sure) might want to avoid it.

why don't you want to eat some medecines to help you? some one is very useful your Asthma.

Thanks guys! My friend finally convinced me to order some this weekend. I'll let you know what happens! Apparently it stops her attacks in 10 minutes. I'm skeptical, but hopeful...

I hear you on just taking medicine, but just want to see if there is anything more natural out there.

That's a good point about allergies - I talked to my homeopathic doctor about it, he said he's never heard of anyone having an allergic reaction to chaga. We'll see....

You probably won't find many homeopaths who know that you shouldn't take echinnaecea (sp) if you are allergic to ragweed either!

It's true, some of the biggest natural heath fans tend to underestimate the risks of allergic reactions to their products. I once asked for an ingredient list and was assured, "It's all natural!"

Which makes total sense. Because no one is ever allergic to, say, plants or animals.

Of course, people can be allergic to prescription drugs also. It can happen with almost any product.

Ok, so I waited for a while so see if it works, and I gotta say, it does. It's been a really humid week here, and I did not have to use my inhaler even one time.

The only downside is that the flavor is very herbal, and I kinda have a sweet tooth. I add sugar to mine, which is probably not the best thing, lol.

If you do try it, please post here and let us know if it works for you too. So far, I'm a fan... No allergies, either. Anyone else out there try it? I'm going to give it to my cousin to see if it helps with her asthma, as well. Yay!

Talk soon guys!
