CH4 - Night at the Museum

This was shown Premiere on Channel 4 on Sunday.
Next Sunday and Sunday after this film is shown again.

Anyone know why?

It's never stopped Sky (or FilmFour) from showing the same movie week after week after week. If Channel 4 have got the terrestrial rights to this movie, plus they can show it in high definition (which they can't do on FilmFour), and they know that people are about to go watch the sequel to this movie at the cinema, they will want to show it as often as they can because they know that they will get a lot of people watching it every time.

So many programmes are repeated over and over on Channel Four (the same Shameless episode used to be on two or three times a week) - so why not movies?

It is unusual though. I didnt know it was showing for a third time. that is even more strange.

They dont show the same episode of Shameless in practically the same slot on the same night for 3 weeks in a row.

There is another thread down in Broadcasting, which I didn't see when starting this.

Also, it now appears that the 3rd showing I was referring to on 7th June is now no longer showing on the RadioTimes website.

Didn't the Sunday showing get around 3.4 million viewers? That's pretty high for Channel 4....
