CGI Anne Frank film

Doing a cartoon about WWII bombings was considered to be inappropriate at one time. And yet Grave of the Fireflies turned out to be a huge critical success. How is doing a computer-animated film about similar serious subject matter any different? We haven't seen it done before, so how are we to know until it's in theaters?

I strongly disagree. How is this any different from Schindler's List? In theory, anyway? Since I haven't seen the film, I suppose it could be an exploitative piece of trash, but I'm just going to assume it isn't.

I think a medium like CGI is best used to portray fantasy, not a real-life human tragedy. And I'm afraid many people would view the whole enterprise as being disrespectful and in questionable taste.
