CGI Anne Frank film

Well, that site doesn't give a whole lot of information... anything else you can tell us about it?

It sounds like this will be one of the first really "serious" CGI films, and it'll be interesting to see how that pans out. I guess it's weird to imagine CGI being used for something like this, since it seems unlikely that the movie will have tons of motion and special effects scenes, as CGI comedy and action efforts have had. I'm interested to see how they elevate the art form.
 
Yeah. As I said, it doesn't give much information. I probably should've specified that it gives NO information.

But I think it's reasonable to assume that a movie about Anne Frank isn't going to be an action or comedy flick.
 
So that page is from 2 years ago... I wonder what's happened since then. It takes a while to make a movie like this, naturally.
 
Someone actually mentioned it to me, and that's how I found it. I guess if it's out of production, nothing to really report on. It looks decent from the screen captures though. I like the dark quietness of the scene.
 
Well, this will definitely test how audiences will respond to a CGI film that isn't talking animals or superheroes. And Considering the subject matter, it's probably not going to be marketed as a "kid's" movie.

I actually hope this does well in the box office, so we can be spared about a hundred of Galentone's "discussions" about people supposedly think of animation being inferior to live action when it comes to drama.
 
That's why I'm wondering what happened. The trailer doesn't make much of the movie, and I myself don't understand the concept because of that. I'll wait, but I'll be checking out Renaissance while I do.
 
According to IMDB it was finished in 2005, but will be released sometime this year. Though you can take IMDB with a huge grain of salt.
