I have two CF62T phones - both on T-Mobile. One has a damaged inner display but still works. I bought a USB cable off Ebay that was labeled as being for CF62 phones. I downloaded SiMoCo, Siemens Data Suite and VisSie. Neither SiMoCo nor Siemens Data Suite see the phone. I loaded the drivers that came with the data cable - which has a PL2303, same as the DCA-510 - and Win XP sees the cable when I plug it in but the phone is still invisible. The cable is wired correctly but not sure if the PL2303 is correctly controlling the handshaking lines from the phone. How much of a difference is there between a CF62 and a CF62T. The phone with the busted display has not been unlocked BUT the other one 'supposedly' has been according to the person I purchased it from. I have several MAX-232 and MAX-3232 chips and have been ****** with making a RS-232 cable (ala DCA-500) which would involve unsoldering the cable from the circuit board on the USB cable. Are there certain settings that I should set on the port when it appears or does the software override these? Any asssistance is appreciated. Thanks.

I finally got my CF62T to be recognized by the software!!! I reinstalled the drivers, then the Siemens Data Suite software then installed the GPRS modem assistant software and, under device manager, made sure that 'Com 5' had handshaking set for 'hardware'. I have already converted and loaded several ringtones to my phone as well as transfered all the data files from the phone with the dead inner screen. Now if I could find a dead phone that has a good inner screen so I could transfer the screens - that would give me a spare phone since these are becoming scarce over here in the US.

There is no differences between CF62 and CF62T, it's the same PCB, only the software is different...
You can use standard RS232 cable with MAX232 or MAX3232, wich will work on all siemens phone.
