...other disease and infections? I am awaiting my results from my cervical biopsy. I was just curious to know, can a cervical biopsy detect other dieseases or infections besides cancer?
 
Yes, it can. When my ob/gyn thought that I had HPV, she gave me a cervical biopsy and I was fine. The cervical biopsy is simply to test a piece of your cervical tissue for cancer and other abnormalities. Try to relax and not stress out too much. I hope that everything turns out well for you.
