Certain Arcade Game From the Ninties?

There was this game I used to play when I was a kid. It was in the arcade version. Your fighter starts human, but then morphs into some fierce animal. Some turned into lions, tigers, as well as bears. It was a hardcore fighting game. Any ideas??
 
You're referring to the 'Bloody Roar' series.

It was originally released in arcades, then ported to the PS1 (Bloody Roar 1 and 2), the PS2, (Bloody Roar 3), and even the gamecube and the xbox. The last iteration was Bloody Roar 4 for the ps2 in 2003.
