central vacuoles & salt waterrr! help!?

A plant cell that lives in fresh water was placed in a beaker or 25% salt water...the central vacuole will
Increase in size
Decrese in size
Remain the same..


which and why?!
 
The plant cell will decrease in size because the central vacuole is mainly filled with water. Water will move towards solutions that are hypertonic - solutions that have higher concentrations of anything that is not water. The water in the central vacuole will move towards the solution in the beaker, making the plant cell decrease in size.
