Cellphone (sidekick) off craigslist or ebay?

Im thinking about buying a cellphone of either craigslist or ebay..which site would be safer?

Oh yeah and what are the differences between the lx and the 08?
-on craigslist the person im looking to buy the phone from is in texas and im in canada...if that makes any difference
 
I would go with ebay. Only because i know people who purchased off craigslist and they got ripped off. On ebay they have rules and people who make sure you don't get ripped off and all that. I like ebay:)
 
If the option is available and you can find the phone, then i would deal with craigslist and deal with someone locally. That way you can meet them somewhere neutral and safe, and be able to look at the item before you buy it.

And sorry, just now saw your second question about the differences and do not have an answer for ya.
