I just joined. So wanted to say hi to all. The reason I am posting is that I am able to upgrade my verison phone this month. I hate this starter phone I have had. I have been looking on ebay to see if I can find a verizon voyager for a better price than at the verizon store. I have used ebay for years but new for the the ebay cell phone thing. Everyone has told me to get the esn number so I could call to insure the phone I may be looking at is clear and able to be used by me after I get it. Everyone has been good about giving me there esn for whatever phone I am looking at except this one guy. Now I had a bad feeling about this guy from his answer to a question I sent him but I still decided to message him back and ask if he would give me the esn number for the phone he is selling. He messaged me back and said no he wouldn't give me the esn because I could activate the phone that way. This is the first I have seen about being able to activate the phone with the esn number only and not even having the phone in my hand. I would like to know if this is true. Because everywhere online that I have been saids you should have the esn number to confirm the phone is not stolen or blacklisted or anything. Everyone even saids that if someone will not give you the esn then don't even think about bidding on the phone. No where I have been in the last month have I heard this till now.
