I'm kinda working on the notion of small enjoyable events this year. I'm sure you've heard this old saying: Every day is a gift, that's why we call it the present. :)

Meh, FaceBook, you have to reveal your real name and I'm not gonna cut for that. :P Maybe if I get famous then I'll have no choice (or opt for a pen name.)

I'm probably more cynical towards social networking places because the people that attempted to add me once didn't really talk to me in the first place. So...yeah.

Good for you! I don't even remember the last time I logged on to MySpace. But Facebook I still do since a lot of people I know are using it to message me. My use of it is more like email than social networking.

I like thinking about minor holidays, like Groundhog Day, and finding a simple way to celebrate. It makes ordinary days more fun. :)

:look: I guess I have two.

The first not being so recent (happened two weeks ago) but I did a lot better than I thought on my film history midterm.

The second, possibly trivial, but I deleted my MySpace for good. Good riddance. After having not logged on for a month, as well as my belief that social networking sites is a basic game of numbers that people are just adding you to up their count as opposed to knowing you, it felt good.

Why do I have a feeling that this is going to happen at my high school reunion six years from now and that people don't really care how you've been but play a live stimulation of MySpace/Facebook within the vicinity? :goof:

I'm gonna celebrate the Time Change by lighting a candle...and by spending hours changing the time on my many, many, many clocks. :goof:

Oh I love marmalade, especially grapefruit! I'm kind of jealous of those jars. It looks delicious!

I like to spend New Year's surrounded by all the family members I didn't get to see enough of in the year, eating great grilled food, and dancing! :D

 I think that's an excellent way to celebrate!

Seems like a good idea to write down accomplishments every day of the year--I bet that would be very encouraging. Think maybe I'll try that. :)

I like celebrating the month of January by making marmalade...that's the best month for citrus. I made 7 jars of Ruby Red Grapefruit Marmalade last night.

I spend New Year's writing what went right this year, so when I'm having a bad day, I can be reminded.

I like to spend part of New Year's thinking quietly about what I'd like to accomplish.

How is everyone planning to celebrate New Year's?

I'm gonna stop at the local fireworks stand to buy some sparklers. :) And I'll cook black-eyed peas and mustard greens--traditional New Year's good luck food.

Happy birthday to your son, sweetie!

Lem, what a deal! :glow:

Yesterday my baby turned 7 weeks old. :D
