CDMA Smartphones?

Do they make them? And can I buy them unlocked so I can use it on my local CDMA carrier (Appalachian Wireless) or do I basically have to buy one of the phones they offer?
 
Looks like a bit more than I'd like to spend. Was looking at something on par with my current GSM Motorola MPX220. Also, looks like that's verizon only? Haven't seen an unlocked version.
