CD receiver in my car not working..repair or replace?

the cd player in my 2005 chevy malibu will not pull in the cd when inserted only if it is pushed in and although it plays the disc I often have trouble ejecting the disc then I end up using tweezers or stick pins to remove the cd..should I replace the cd receiver all together or get that one fixed?
