CD Burner not working, tells me there is an error. I can play games etc with cds?

I currently have vista on my computer.

I have a LG SecurDisc player.

It plays games and cds fine but when i try and burn a cd using itunes or windows media player it says there is an error with every song it tries to put on the disc.

Is my player faulty? Or do i need to install a program?
