I would love to hear from Indian students as well. What would you like your teachers to understand about your culture/heritage?
I am a Caucasian high school English teacher. Last year was my first year at a new school. The school has a large population of Indian students (from India...not Native American). I have found all of my Indian students to be polite, very hard-working, and smart, but I still feel like I know very little about their culture.
As a teacher of Indian students, what should I know? What is different from American culture?
