Or do you have to go to your priest and do it??? If so, what if you or you preist were on vacation, a missions trip, or something and you are not around your priest to confess your sins and when you got home you forgot one or a few?
John S: The word of God says: All who are born again Christians have the same Spirit as one another. With that being said if the priest has the same Spirit working in him as in me what different does it make whether I confess privately with Jesus or with my priest. I do both, I confess to my pastor and to Jesus; but it is not a must for me to confess to him.
Ephesians 2:18 For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.
Ephesians 4:4 There is one body and one Spirit--just as you were called to one hope when you were called--
My church never closes, we have other pastors and elders of the church that takes care of the church while the pastor is gone if he is ever gone.
