I am Muslim but I do believe in Virgin Mary(pbuh) and even her appearances. Like in Fatima, wherever else she has appeared. Many catholic, orthodox, and Muslim pilgrims will go to visit these sites to honor her.
There's no such thing as a divine image, and I happen to know first hand that Mary is not considered to be divine by Catholics. Attributing divinity to images of anything is idolatry. So if someone makes an image of God, it is not the image that is divine. It's just an image of something that happens to be considered divine.
