My husband is Catholic, I am Baptist. We recently had a civil ceremony (or courthouse wedding). Then I found out all the rumors about Catholic/Non-Catholic marriages.
1) The Catholic Church won't recognize a civil ceremony unless you have it nullified by the Chancery. (I have no idea what nullified or Chancery are)
2) The Catholic Church won't marry us in the church if I refuse to convert to catholicism.
3) The same thing goes on in Catholic weddings as Baptist weddings. Only difference would be the lighting of the Unity Candle.
I would really appreciate help, first hand advice or just any information I should know. Thank you all.
