Cat won't stop grooming itself!?

My cat absolutely will not stop licking itself. I know, it's natural, blah blah blah, it's for a reason, I would appreciate it if you didn't give me a lesson on how a cat's tongue is spiny and why they lick themselves and stuff. My cat is grooming itself to where it's becoming a problem - not only it's annoying and loud, over the past few months there has been really seldom time when she wasn't grooming herself. She's started to throw up hairballs constantly, as well as throw up constantly, which I know is natural but she's doing it so much I'm getting slightly concerned over her health.
Really, the only time she's not licking herself is usually the first half hour to two hours after she's done licking herself, or when she's sleeping.
Should I use a certain shampoo, or get a brush, or what? And please, please, unless you are a veterinarian or know a LOT about cats, don't just tell me it's "natural", because unless I am a huge spazz, I really think my cat licks herself too damn much.

It doesn't sound natural to me. A cat usually only bathes 2 to 3 times a day (in my experience). If you want to cut back on the hairballs, get your cat some hairball control cat food. It works pretty well.
