Our 5 year old cat has recently gotten an infection (we went to the vet). He has something that created fluids which pressed up against his lungs, making it difficult to breathe. Tomorrow we will find out exactly what infection. We got antibiotics from the vet and we've tried feeding them to him through these little pellet-like food things that the pill easily fits into (the vet gave some to us), but its really difficult. He refuses to eat, so we had to try forcing it. Its gotten him bits and pieces of the pills, but not enough.
Today we also tried grinding up the meds and putting them in milk, then forcing it through a small tube ( worked alright). It's incredibly important that he get the pills and food because the vets not positive he can get through this. My cat means the world to me and my family, please, any tips or ideas to get him to eat, or take the meds, or even drink more (he wont drink milk, but will drink some water)???
hes getting so skinny, i can see his ribs and spine
thanks
