Cat has a pink ring on the rim of its eye lids?

The cat has Pink eye. that needs to be looked at by a vet. also is very contagious. humans can get it to. Or it could also be ring worm. both need attention
 
My friends cat has a pink ring on the rim of her eyes lids, its not a sty I believe, and its been there a few days now. We cant figure out what it is! is it an infection? if you need more details let me know...
