Yesterday, my cat was laying beside me as usual sleeping, all the sudden he jumped up and puked up 8 inches of ribbon! I had to cut it out of his mouth, as it all wouldn't come up! (Who knows how much is still in there) Since then he has puked 2 more times (no ribbon came out), he is still drinking water but not eating food. I did not jerk the ribbon as I didn't want to hurt him, so I simply cut it. He's never puked in his life ever. I gave him Laxitone hoping this helps, I can't afford a huge vet visit as my husband and I both are laid off work. Please help!!! He is like our son, we have no children. ( I have no idea where this Nylon Ribbon came from) He is totally an indoor cat, never been outside in his life and we own no ribbon that I can even think of. I have tore the house apart looking for anything that looks like it and have found nothing. He doesn't seem to be in any pain at all, he is snuggling in between my arms as I type, sleeping, which is a normal thing for him. Please help any info is greatly appreciated!

Rene, cats are adventerous lil things and will find things you dont even know you had. He could have gotten that ribbon off a toy you might have had on your bed and you didnt take notice if it had ribbon or not.

I am concerned that he isnt eating and is vomiting, this alone tells me you need to get treatment for him. Best thing to do is call your vet you normally goto, explain whats happend and if they could maybe do account for you. Some clinics do this, no harm in asking.

I hope this helps somewhat.
