Cat and cooked Chicken?

I have a 13 year old cat that ran out of his regular cat food recently and until I get some more I'm trying to have him eat some fried chicken that I have removed from the bone. But he looks at it like "what are you trying to feed me here?" Any advice that I can use to have him eat it? Thank You!

I would peel off the fried skin and just give the meat. Also, try mixing with some canned salmon or tuna to make it more desirable to him, but really, he needs some cat food asap. At that age, he could easily get a stomach upset if he is not eating his regular diet. Also, depending on what he normally eats, he might have problems with his teeth that make it painful to chew which is why he wont eat the chicken. Why not check craigslist in your area and see if someone would give you some cat food?

You can feed skinless, boiled chicken for a short amount of time, but if you cook the meat then you are eliminating the Taurine from it, which is an amino acid that aids with organ functions that cats cannot produce on their own, they need it either from raw meats (chicken, turkey, lamb, duck etc) or they need it added via a supplement pouch to cooked food or in their regular food. Its ok to go without for a day or so, but I would not allow it to go any further. Please get your cat proper food asap.

Edit: Just a heads up, TUNA is one of the worst things you can feed your cat, short of the toxic list. I would rather see your cat eat the chicken meat (not skin) from a piece of fried chicken than any sort of tuna.
