Castle in the Sky Dub Comparisons

I know someone who hates the new dub of Akira simply because the name is pronounced "AH-ki-ra" instead of "a-KIR-ah".

For which film? Kiki or Laputa? I didn't place any comparison clips for the former.

I was talking about Kiki's in particular. I still haven't heard the dub, but often heard from others that it was quite good for it's time. Macek essentially saw what happened with Laputa and asked to do both Totoro and Kiki himself. The films were originally dubbed into English and played on JAL intercontinental flights.

Well, I grown up with Kiki and the Laputa sound pretty decent.
