Casshern Sins

SounRAB good, also interested since this guy is going to be in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom lol.

EDIT

It appears Shinsen is the only one subbing at the moment, looks like i will be waiting to check this one out.

Im not one to complain much about animation but it seemed like it was down in the second episode, still it was good and very enjoyable to watch, seems like Casshern loses control of himself at times like he did towarRAB the end of the episode, its sad that as soon as those robots realised there was a chance of living they completely changed and became murderous monsters but i guess everything or one wants to live.

Wow the fight between Casshern and Dio in ep 14 has to be one of the best I've seen. I love the music they've played throughout this series, the music they play always fits the atmosphere.

Yeah...it was pretty sad. It also convinces me that what Casshern did was EXTREMELY bad. Though I'm not entirely sure how killing Luna would poison the air.

well so far the series is going very well, episodes are individual , yet stringed together

music is nice, characters well developed, nice animation, and questions the value of humanity, love this show a lot, definetly nice to see something become very popular without being shonen

Yeah killing Luna may of been when he was out of control or he may of been bad before and since losing his memory he's changed but the loss of control is his old self coming through.

The battle with Dune was another turning point in Casshern's view of life. He thought that caring made people weak but instead Lyuse stated it makes one more human. I love this series. It's one of the golden gems that people rarely talk about.

I agree with your other points but I don't believe that the characters are well developed at all, rather the opposite. We're so many episodes into the series and so far we know little to nothing about most of the characters and only recently have we seen any vestiges of a coherent plot. As you pointed out the series has been largely episodic until now.

ah my bad let me clarify , i meant well developed as in they have depth to them, that they are not just shallow characters that just walk around doing nothing and have no purpose than just to fill in a spot. every character and every story thus far has gave each character a unique sense of self

I have to disagree. The characters are very well developed. We're just getting glimps of them with each episode.

As for the stories, the first part is done. And that was Casshern figuring out who he was and why he had lost a lot of memory. Along the way he get's bits and pieces of who he was and what he did. Sometimes who he was came from those who either 1) knew him from when he killed Luna or 2) seeing in what he's doing.

The second override storyarc is now him trying to find Luna and find out what really happened. This will also correspond with him having a major battle with Dio. Casshern Sins is definately deeper than what you are seeing on the vehneer.

Well considering that in this version, he was a cyborg assassin sent by Braiking Boss to kill Luna...he definitely was evil before.

Also, that guy that was in the preview for the third episode kind of looked like Akagi.

Was a very good episode, you can't help but feel sorry for Dune but for a dude on his last legs he sure can fight, Casshern is slowly learning what its like to be human and have feelings, before he would of finished Dune off without giving a second thought to it, i really feel bad for Ringo too, i don't want her to die

That was his second appearance. The guy is one tough robot. Shinigami (Death God) served his nickname very well.

Yeah, I will be saddened if Ringo was to die due to the ruin. But I can't that happening because she did bleed. She would have to die from something else. Afterall she was made by the same man. Ohji, who created Casshern, Dio and Leda (and maybe Friender?).

So it does seem like his old self is fighting to regain control, when he loses it his whole posture changes and you can see the evil in his eyes.

I never watch previews cause i find it spoilers certain things, i wonder how long it will be untill Dio and Reda turn up?

I don't believe feeding very small amounts of information about characters over a long period of time adRAB up to good development. Not when the information is so slight and the characters haven't really changed at all.

I'm aware of what's happened so far during the series and it's by no means a deep storyline. Most of what we know comes from one episode where Braiking Boss just happens to turn up and tell us 'You're a killing machine and you killed Luna LOL' which we pretty much had guessed anyway.

Look, I like Casshern but watching it for the plot and character development I am not.

I dunno...I'm sure they'll turn up eventually. I've got a feeling about the guy I mentioned...although Casshern is probably going to end up killing him for whatever reason.

What kind of feeling?

Im guessing Dio and Reda will be his two main opponents in this series and even if Casshern remerabers his past does not mean he will go back to being like that unless that side of him takes control.

Casshern has awesome action but its not my only reason for watching the show, personally i like how it leaks little bits of information about each character through the episodes, theres a lot of things i want to find out about various characters in the show, not just Casshern.
