now heres a good film, i watched this about a year ago, and thought it was great. Really really good, although it is on for a bit too long. about 3 hours ..

i wonder how, when people who are heavy gamblers and have watched this film, still gamble away money, knowing that its virtually all a fix!! :rolleyes:

Love Deniro in this one, and Sharon Stone too, Fab!!

Has anyone else seen this film , and did you enjoy it?
 
It is a very good film yes. It's long, but it doesn't feel 3 hours long which is a good sign. It's a little while since I've seen it, but I'm sure I'll watch it again soon.

'Casino' is far too long for its own good. Sharon Stone does put in a pretty remarkable performance, although the rest of the cast seem to be going through the motions trying to recreate variations on their Goodfellas personas...
 
I'd love to see it but this is the very reason why I wouldn't be able to - I can't watch that sort of stuff - it makes me extremely nauseous :eek:
 
Casino did turn out to be a very good movie and when released it was probably one of the best films that year. the best part was when joe pesci got beaten up at the end. toalk about a pasting.

even to this day i cant look at the scene in full as it makes me feel sick. not alot of films can do this or have this effect so i rate this as very good.

Maybe a misunderstanding because the film shows that the house always wins. Which it does. Individuals may win or lose, but ultimately the house wins overall.

Anyway, great film that I don't think suffers from being 3 hours long.
