Casino Royale 007 - Hugh Jackman??

Hugh Jackman has been rumoured for ages and ages. I personally hope he doesn't ever get the role of Bond. Stick to X-men series.

hugh jackman and colin farrel will ruin the role of bond. every bond so far has been from the UK and if they have an american or a australian (???i am guessing thats where jackman's from) it will ruin the atmosphere of the role. bond is means to be a cool collected witty english gentleman type guy and having an american put on an english acent does not appeal to me!

Jude Law?

Euuuurrrgh, he should just come out of the closet and be done with it, that 'guy' is so effeminate its ridiculous.

At least Hugh is good looking, can act reasonably well and is manly. Isn't that whats bonRAB about, not some girly boy?

Hey, nothing to do with popularity, I was mealy pointing out the inaccuracy in 'Clapton=God's statment. ;)

I actually think Lazenby was quite underrated as Bond. It was a really good performace, and 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service' is now often criticly acclaimed as one of the Best Bond movies... Lazenby problem (or rather the audiences problem with him) was he just wasn't Connery. It's quite possible whoever takes over now might suffer from not being Brosnan.

George Lazenby was very successful. It is just that George Lazenby didn't want to be typecast so he only did one.(Exactly the same as Christopher Ecclestone only doing one series of Doctor Who).

but does ferrel talk with a accient originating in the UK, no he talks with a more american accient. as for George Lazenby JamboUK was right, he doesn't even deserve to be classified as a James Bond!

Each to there own, but I stand by my statement that Lazenby was a very good Bond, even if he wasn't a popular one, and 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service' was a great Bond film.

:)

A man who looks like an extremely effeminate hairdresser as Bond, great.

The names that would actually suit have already been posted in other 'Bond?' threaRAB, so i'm not gonna go over them. Tough job anyway, as Brosnan has been an excellent Bond.

And Lazenby wasn't even really an actor tbf to him, and to this day, he starred in the best Bond film tbh.

Eh? He speaks with a very strong Southern Irish accent with the swearing to go with...

And on that note, as mentioned above, Pierce Brosnan is Irish. Although he did attend acting school and now speaks with a much more English sounding "proper" accent, the one he uses for Bond, though not far off, certainly isn't his real accent

Judw Law & Colin Farrell are both too young as is Ioan Gryffud and none of them have the right look.

Jackman, Bana, Owen, Bale, Scott and the English actor who was in Resident Evil (i can't remember his name!) all have the right look.

I think Brosnan will do one more, there was talk that he had re opened talks with the producers.

If he does one more, then by the next one Ioan Grifford will be about the right age, and he would be great
