Cartoons You'd Like Made into Films

I knew some Goldorak/Goldrake/Grendizer fans wishing for a Goldorak movie.

Captain Harlock (Albator) would work well for a live-action movie as well as Gunsmith Cats.

The live-action Asterix movies was done very well except "Asterix at the olympic games" although then actor Gerard Depardieu menaged to give a very good performance on his interpretation of Obelix.

Totally Spies will work more better for a 2D movie then a live-action (and the upcoming live-action movie will be released in France on July 22)

When Dreamworks was young and innocent, they had actually considered making a live-action adaptation of Galaxy High. Vanguard Animation was doing some developmental work on it. Somewhere down the line, I guess they forgot about it.

But, in hindsight, it could be a good adaptation, especially if Chris Columbus, the show's creator, helmed it (you know, he has quite the history of guiding films built around average folks going to school in an unreal world [see the first three Harry Potter films]).

The thing about Jonny Quest is that it's more along the lines of the "blockbuster hero adaptaion everyone can watch ala Spiderman, Harry Potter,Batman.." instead of the "WTF is this doing in a movie theater ala live action Flintstones, Speed Racer, etc" . This is what made JQ a good idea. Although it looks like JQ is heading to mediocrity, i'm in the wait and see camp.

The only other cartoon character I can think of that would be excellent in live action would be Little Nemo. That would make an excellent children's movie. The style the movie would have! Maybe Tim Burton should direct or something. Any thoughts?

Tim Burton in my opinion is too good for Little Nemo. If a live action Little Nemo movie were to be made, give it to someone like Alfonso Cuaron.

However, there's a graphic novel I would like to see Tim Burton to make into a movie but this isn't the thread to discuss it.

Wait..what?!

I'm talking about the legendary, surreal Little Nemo from the early 20th century that was one of the pioneers of the animation and comics industry, not the 1989 movie. It was also a short animation in 1911, so it still qualifies for discussion here. It just seems right up Tim Burton's alley.
