Hey Arnold! was so close to an ending, they should have just did it. But things didn't work out that way.
I could name other shows , but most of those didn't get past a season or two. I guess it would help to name shows that were actually close to ending and didn't make the cut, instead of just cartoons with no endings. Too broad.

The show Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go! ended in a cliffhanger.
The creator of the series intended to end the show on its fifth season, but since only four seasons were made, the show ended on a cliffhanger, which was a shame, since I wanted to see how they covered some unanswered questions.

...Weird. I've always wondered wht happened to that last ghost. Now I know they never made that episode.

It would have been nice if The Pirates of Dark Water had a finale. They slowed down the pace of finding treasures in the second season, so it probably would have taken a few more seasons to find all 13 treasures.
