Cartoons that somehow manage to sneak nudity in

No one mentioned Digimon? For Shame.

Besides the infamous bath scene that was cut from the first season, the Tamer kids became naked EVERY time they biomerged.
 
I don't know if Spongebob counts....he was naked in "Nature Pants" and "Hooked." Oh yeah, and there was one cut scene in Beyblade(can't remember which episode!) where Kenny tries to imagine Tyson balancing himself on his toe, on a ball. Obviously naked. Of course, I've only seen a picture of that scene:rolleyes2 .
 
Actually, it's not an inkling error. It's an empty space between her thighs (God, that sounds wrong...). It just looks like a panty/crotch shot because of Pikachu's tail.

As for nudity in anime not having genitals: It's because of the laws in Japan. You cannot show genitals on television. That's why a bunch of the...risque...stuff in Japan have genitals blurred out. To avoid this, anime characters on TV don't have genitals drawn. This only affects the crotch, no other areas.

And I can't believe nobody's mentioned that Dot from Animaniacs never ever wears a shirt...
 
I don't remember the specific name of it, but there was a short on the ol' "What A Cartoon Show" that was made by the same guys who now make "Kids Next Door", which is where the humpback mad scientist guy orginated from ( Ironically, I can remember where he comes from, but not his name :p )

Basically the mad scientist guy hired this kid...whose name I can't remember either...and the kid's pet chimp...named "Chimpy"...to watch his labratory for him while he goes to rant to the local PTA, although actually he was hiring Chimpy because he thinks Chimpy is a responsible human and that his master is his irresponsible brother who always ruins his experiments, although Chimpy really does it, as he does is the episode.

Long story short, things blow up, people's bodies get transformed, ending with a whole bunch of things going even more haywire, with the kid somehow getting naked (but with no genitals, like a Barbie doll)

Now, I have enjoyed some episodes of KND, but I'll be lying if I said I didn't think its gone downhill (they can't make up their mind if they're comedy, mock serious, or actually "serious", considering the "plot"). I would have loved to see a show based off the short.

Yeah, complete with a Barbie-doll-esque lack of genitals. Kinda weird actually :sweat: Might've been better just to leave it at top shots. (I know it was supposed to be symbolic of them fusing with their digimon partners, and sharing one body and all, but they really loved pushing that envelope in Japan, or whatever. Short magical girl transformations are one thing, but things are taken overboard sometimes.)

I remember pics of Ruki's and Renamon's fusing was banned on Ol' Megchan's Digimon forum back in the day, although that was probably because of the people complaining it was sexist/not-sexist-but-apportiate for her 'lower' region to be covered with a data stream compared to the guys, rather than the few lolicons that actually got off on a pictures of a girl who hadn't even hit puberty yet, BARF, looking at a few fictional high schoolers in anime is one thing, but geez.

Well, there was this one time he wore pants, but all he did was play with the fly, and that would have weirded some people out.
 
Wasn't Minnie Mouse topless in some cartoons? Also, I finally saw the unedited version of Betty Boop in Is my Palm Read?, and there was one scene where she was a baby in the bathtub nude, and some shots were full frontal, although it was as some described, Barbie style nudity with no private parts.

Also, in the cartoon where she introduces Popeye, she is topless except for a lei.
 
They showed that on the SNL TV Funhouse cartoon about the Disney vault (also the Jessica Rabbit not wearing anything under her skirt part).



That wasn't even hardcore nudity. It was butt shots (either the character was buck naked or had his pants down), except maybe for the clip from Grampa vs. Sexual Inadequacy where Marge covers herself with the pillow when Bart breaks in. But it wasn't anything that hasn't been seen on NYPD Blue at the time.

Now Family Guy (whether you love it, hate it, or think it's okay) has sneaked in nudity dozens of times usually when Peter is drunk (cf. "Screwed the Pooch" and "Jungle Love"), although they did have Stewie naked a couple of times and lest we forget the scene in "Fore Father" with Quagmire and the UPS lady.
 
Sometimes she wears shirts or full dresses. It's not like she has boobs.

Dot does wear panties - they're most visible in the troll episode - but I'd swear there's some bits where she's gone commando. Since she doesn't have glutes, I don't think it would count either way.
 
I think that show still comes on occasionally paired in the first episode of KND. Alot of shows sneak in nudity or at the very least leave it to the immagination of the viewer. Adult Swim excluded? I remember an episode of MIB were Agent J was immune to fire and assumably heat cause he burned through the atmosphere with nary a scratch. His clothes didn't share the same protections.
 
I guess nudity in anime doesn't count since it's not that unusual, but there's one interesting example: in Locke the Superman, you see a woman topless for several seconds. What makes this unusual is that in the UK the movie was renamed as "Star Warrior" and marketed as a kidvid under the label "Bannam's Children"... but with this scene left totally uncut. Weird.
 
Add Billy and Irwin from Grim Adventures. Caught them while channel surfing tonight. They had been wedgied and hung from coathooks, butts visible.

You know, at five pages, does nudity in a cartoon count as "sneaking in" anymore?
 
The British and Europeans in general have a way more laid back attitude towards towards nudity and sex in general. Americans are some of the most restrictive in this sense, only beat by your average Muslim country.
 
I'm not sure if this counts, but in Mickey and the Seal, Mickey Mouse is taking a bath when he find the seal in his bath tub. This freaks him out, so get kind leaps into the air for a few seconds and he's wearing nothing but gloves.

Of course, it's Barbie doll nudity I think.
