Cartoons that everyone hated but you loved

The Beverly Hills Teens was the only human show when compared to The Transformers, the Thundercats, the Silverhawks, The Tigersharks, Robotech, et al.

People hate The Animatrix? Is that even possible? I love the way the shorts all had their own take on the Matrix universe, and they were highly creative, both from visual and storytelling standpoints.

You know, looking at it, i used to have quite a high tolerance for cartoons. I have all three volumes of Ned's Newt VHS... I love the current Emperor's New groove cartoon, though it's constantly a muddle with reruns. I also really loved Space Goofs.

And I really love Samurai Pizza cats as well.

Fighting foodons, was one of the best anime i ever saw. the concept was so diferent, and i loved the ridiculous story.

Pelswick,

, i ust loved that show, it was realy funny.

Medabots,

, it was like pokemon, only with robots and every episode actualy contributed to the plot (no filler), and towards the end of every arc, it was epic.

Ozzy and drix,

, it was creative, but moreimportantly the opening song was awesome.

i also like robot jones, and GI joe

I use to hate Naruto but then I got in to it.
Recently I found out that everyone in my Sequential Arts class hates the anime. I'm not a huge fan of it, because of its horrible pacing, but I'm practically the only guy who watches it.
They have similar feelings for the manga.

Cartoons I like that others hate are:

Filmation's Ghostbusters (I don't care what anyone says I liked the show yes it was weird and it had flaws but I liked it)
He-Man (the old cartoon even though it has a lot of fans it has a lot of haters as well. I will take this over the 2002 series any day)
Dic's G.I. Joe (though I will admit season 2 was pretty bad compared to season 1 and mini-series Operation Dragonfire was good though it also had a few flaws)

HiHi Puffy Ami Yumi Show - I loved this show. It was hilarious and quite entertaining. I didn't like how Kaz was always injured or tortured by Ami and Yumi's cats though.

Atomic Betty - She was so cute. And before anyone gets any ideas, I mean that she was so cute in a "daughter" sort of way. Anyway, the characters were cool, the storylines were cool, and the action was cool. I loved the theme song to, I'm not afraid to admit it. I also got this Maxwell Atoms vibe off of the show but he doesn't seem to have anything to do with the series, oh well.

He-Man 2002 - I don't think a lot of people were into the show but I thought it was amazing. I mean, at first it was just half and half with me but later on I started to like the show more and more. I kept waiting for Teela to find out Adam's secret, even though I know they probably wouldn't write that in but still.

Sheep in the Big City
The most underrated Cartoon Cartoon in the channel's history.

Witch Hunter Robin
I know a number of people at these boards bashed it when it was on [adult swim], but I thought it was a pretty good show.

Ed Edd 'n' Eddy
I hated reading people badmouth this show early on. The first average-kids cartoon in a long time that actually looked like a cartoon and not like a teenage sitcom.

No. Sony made the cartoon as well.

And as I stated before I loved Sheep. Brilliant wierd show. Mo Willems got a raw deal on this one.

Sheep in the Big City was one of my favorites when it aired. I never really paid any attention to other peoples opinions back then, so I never knew it was so...unliked.

Ed Edd and Eddy, I seriously didnt know that this show was unpopular before. I always thought that everyone liked it. It had replaced my old favorite, Tom and Jerry, in the first few episodes.

Although I never cared for Atomic Betty, I hoped that Puffy Ami might have had a better run. It was a good, enjoyable show. (Didn't Grey DeLisle play Yumi?)

Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go. Most underrated show ever. I also haven't seen a huge amount of interest in El Tigre. And of course, when you like Spongebob it seems the world is against you.

In light of my video game cartoon thread in the other forums, I'm probably the only toon zoner to like Donkey Kong Country. The singing and humor is one of my many guilty pleasures.

I don't see why so many people hated DK country. Other than the random Musical numbers (which, let's face it, Captian N and all three Mario cartoons had chase/montage numbers, so its not too different). I personally liked how they made Funky Kong Carribean, not just the same 80's Michelangelo surf dude speak.

I want to say i also love Doraemon and Kochikame. Not that everybody hates them, but no one has heard of them in the US, or any English speaking country for that matter.

Duck Dodgers - I don't know if anyone has named this show yet but here's my opinion. When I see DD on Boomerang, it seems like the show was far beyond it's time, comedy-wise. Each and every episode is funny and just plain entertaining. (The Commander episode was kind of weak...) Anyway, I think DD came at a bad time, maybe today people would appreciate it more.

Duck Dodgers was the way that they could "hip up" the looney Tunes characters while keeping them in tact. I loved Taz mania, I loved Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries... and yes, at one point I was thinking of drawing up plans for a Daffy Duck show (and see if I can submit it to Warners at one point) in which there would be recurring segments, and Duck Dodgers was one of them.
