Cartoons that are good at five in the morning.

Not quite 5AM, but I have very fond memories of when my local UPN station showed Sailor Moon and Garfield & Friends in the 6AM hour from about 1996 to 2002 (that's right, they kept it going for SIX YEARS)...

There's just something about seeing Garfield first thing in the morning that made every weekday special.

Oh, and watching Transformers (first Cybertron, now Animated) at 6AM on CN has been a part of my morning ritual for about four years now. It too has a certain charm when viewed first thing in the morning.
 
Yo, I was visiting my great-grandmother here in Bennettsville, SC back in 1986 when I got up one Saturday morning and caught some episodes of Jem and Super Saturday at 5:00am in the morning on Fox 18 (WCCB in Charlotte, NC). at least on Super Saturday, they had a My Little Pony/Charmkins episode in it!

If I was running a television station today, I would put all those E/I cartoons on from five to eight in the morning, then all the real good stuff would be on from eight to one in the afternoon!
 
Old nicktoons should be on Nick early in the morning if only on weekends. Same with Cartoon Cartoons on CN.
And I always felt the Sonic cartoons would be good early in the morning, seeing as how when the Incredible World of DiC was still on a couple years ago, Sonic Underground aired at 8 or 6 AM.
 
I loved getting up early to catch Hamtaro in the summer. It made more sense than keeping it on Toonami and it just really brightened my day just to see a bunch of hamsters going on adventures.

I also find that magical girl shows fit in quite well in the early morning. Its a shame that they never seem to last in that slot.
 
Purely out of nostalgia, I'm going to say Ronin Warriors & Zoids: Chaotic Century/Guardian Force. Both of these were shows I'd loved waking up to. I still have a few VHS tapes from back when I taped them when I was afraid I'd sleep through them.

A couple nice action/adventure stories. Nothing too complex so it made it very easy to keep up it with, especially that early in the morning.
 
Hmm well from 1-5 on Saturdays I used to watch anime... But I haven't done that since Code Geass ended. :sweat:

When I was little I would always try to wake up early to watch Scooby Doo. >__> :anime:
