Cartoons/animated shows too painful to watch twice

Yeah, good point, I can't really compare the two, Yu-Gi-Oh's not even in the equation when set up against such titans as B:TAS, point is, it's a toon I didn't even have to watch a full episode of to find repulsive.

Other examples:

Beyblade: >.<

Honestly, I know you're one of those BTAS fanboys and all, but can you please keep it out of something that doesn't relate to it? :raven:

What tv show, episode, special or movie or anything else in the cartoon and comic art world was to painful for you to watch more than once?

For Me:

It was The Ren and Stimpy Adult Party Cartoon show.
John K. must've lost his mind when he remade his old NickToon Show.

I don't think I'll be getting the DvD. EVER.

That ep of Teen Titans where Beast Boy ACCIDENTALLY threw that water balloon filled with grease at StarFire that was meant for Cyborg

The Following Simpson eps: Marge Be not Proud, The Cartilage Family, The Mysterious Voyage of Homer, There's Something About Marrying, Lisa The Greek, Secrets of a Successful Marriage, Lisa The Vegetarian, She of Little Faith, and all the other recent Christmas eps.

Inuyahsa and Naruto - those shows have too much focus on torturing the main characters and letting the bad guys win.

The Death of Captain America - nuff said.

Family Guy - it's making us look like jerks!

THE Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy - we aniamtion fans are not EMOS!

Umm, this topic is going to confuse a lot of people, since the thread title is written almost the same as the "too painful to watch twice" one.

And what's everyone's problem with "Marge Be Not Proud"? I think that's one of the better episodes of the series.

Umm, care to explain?

The comic strip PAINFUL for me to look at is the BLONDIE comic strip because of the grudge between Dagwood and Mr. Dithers ("May I get you a cup of coffee, boss?" "YOU'RE FIRED, BUMSTEAD!")

Painful, eh?

It's only happened to me once. I got three minutes into the first episode of "Drawn Together" before I had to change the channel in disgust. I really wanted to like it too, given that the premise was interesting, but I just don't like shock humor.

Rock a Doodle-My god this is such an awful animated movie. It's one of the worst I've ever seen. And it's Don Bluth's worst. The plot was extra cheesy, the animation was horrid, and the characters weren't anything to write home about either. *Sighs* Oh well, at least this movie is great for a couple of laughs. Considering the fact that it's pathetic! :D

Everybody knows it Bendy (Fosters Home For Imaginary Friends)- This episode just makes me cringe. It's just.....wrong!

Divide and Conquer (Teen Titans)- I have to admit, I almost stopped watching Teen Titans because of this pain inducing episode. But then again, it's the first episode, what do you expect? Awful characters, mediocre animation, cliche dialouge, and corny jokes.

Videl is Crushed (Dragonball Z)- I don't hate this episode in the slightest, it's just that the beating that Videl took from that guy (I don't know how to spell his name) is so hard to watch! Poor Videl, being beaten to a pulp by that heartless monster!

Really? I kind of like it.
Anyways I just couldn't watch Kids Next Door finale again. Well I'm okay with the begining but the end was way too :crying: . I had to turn it off.

Since this is General Animation, let's keep this thread along the lines of animated cartoons too painful to watch twice. Since this is pretty similar to the film thread of the same topic, let's also keep it along the lines of animated television shows and series.

I've adjusted the title to give browsers a better idea of the topic at hand, and I'm going to request that this thread please adhere to the List Thread rules, as noted. Basically-- if you list a show, please explain why you listed it.

That episode of Family Guy where Peter vomits up that scarf. In fact, there are quite a few instances in Family Guy's later seasons that I wince at every time I see them.

The episode of Ren and Stimpy where they're living in mideval times and going after some cheese, particularly the part where Stimpy pries the giant's toenail off. Gah. >_<

Oh, and pretty much all of Ren and Stimpy APC.

Ultimate Avengers 1 & 2. I'm not a fan of The Ultimates, but I picked these up on sale at the urging of a fellow comics fan who insisted that it wasn't as bad as the comics and that I'd enjoy it. Lies, all lies. It still had everything that makes me dislike the current Marvel tone (regular & Ultimate lines) enough to drop all of my Marvel books; why would I want to watch something I can't stand to read?

As cheesey and off-character as it was, I still liked Avengers: United They Stand better than either of these. That's how bad they are.

EDIT: I second "Kill the Aligator and Run" as the worst Simpsons episode ever. There is one funny joke in the whole thing (the Logan's Run reference with the VJ), and the rest is just agonizing.

The Dexter's Laboratory half-hour "They Got Chops / Poetic Injustice / Comedy of Feathers". The whole last two seasons were terrible, but that episode was particularly awful. Not sure how to argument it, but they were like a bunch of unfunny non sequiturs.

The Simpsons: 'A Star is Torn', had no laughs whatsoever (not even a 'half laugh'). In the end the plot didn't seem to go anywhere. It's not painful in the traditional sense but for a fan of the show it's heartbreaking.
