Cartoon Gadgets

[FONT=Verdana,Arial,Helvetica] Some of my favorite cartoon tech are The Swat Kats' Glovatrixes, Doc Hartford's Computer Diagnostic Unit from Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers and Batman and Robin's deus ex machine Utility Belts.

-Basically, anything that conveniently has any device needed for any occasion at just the right time tickles my fancy. Cartoon tech is fantastic. [/FONT]

The Shirt Tales' Super Sonic Transport (STSST).

George Jetson's spaceship that conveniently folded into a briefcase (No more looking for a parking space!)

Washu's inter-dimensional portal technology from Tenchi Muyo!. Pretty much anything Washu invented was awesome. [/FONT]
 
And let us not forget The Way-Back Machine (tm). Why just tell Sherman whatever lesson you want him to learn when you can hop into the Way-Back Machine (tm) and witness some historical figure making the same mistake? It's something no home should be without. :anime:
 
There were all types on crazy gadgets in the original TMNT series. Every episode had either Shredder, a mad scientist or a gangster attempting to steal some new, ultra-powerful device. And whatever it was that the villains stole, Donatello would always have a gadget of his own that he'd pull out of nowhere to counter it. As if he was at one point able to see into the future beforehand and knew exactly what gizmo the villains were going to use.

Anyone remember the "Attack of Big MACC" episode? Mere minutes after the MACC robot appeared from 400 years in the future, Krang had already produced some gizmo that - when attached to the robot's neck - would someone allow this unknown, futuristic robot to be controlled for evil purposes. So Shredder responds the same way any intelligent viewer would have:

"This is something you just happened to have laying around, right??"
 
My favorite would be Vash the Stampede's revolver from "Trigun". Even if it didn't have the hidden uber-gun, I would love to have a break-top revolver like that. I wish some small arms manufacturer would get the rights to make one. The closest real-world equivalent would either be a Scofield .45LC or maybe a Mateba auto-revolver (featured in the anime series, "Ghost in the Shell"). Assy McGee has a pretty kick-*** revolver, by the way.

I also really like the Megas robot from "Megas XLR". You've gotta appreciate any giant robot that has a wave-motion gun built into it's chest!

I'll second Doc Hartford's super computer programs. No mainframe is safe from those little guys!

Another favorite is the X-Men's Danger Room from "X-Men TAS". I'd have to say it even beats the holodecks on "Star Trek". If I had my own Danger Room, I might never leave the house!
