Cartoon characters in their underwear

Just for fun, I thought we could put together a list of cartoons (for no intended purpose) where we see if a character is a brief or boxers person..... or if they're in just any sort of undergarments...

Usually,seeing cartoon characters in their underwear is something that is used for comic effect,like when their pants fall down,and we see said character is wearing boxers with hearts on them,they blush,and pull their pants up. List such instances you remember,or times when you see a character's underpants and there's no such gag to go along with it.



please keep this thread clean as much as possible

SpongeBob and Patrick both wear briefs as seen in many episodes, and in various colors (though usually white).

Most cartoon characters wear briefs. Briefs have been scientifically proven to be funnier.

Briefs are funnier because they are more obviously underpants. They even have an obvious fly on them. Boxers just look like shorts, especially in cartoons. Seeing a guy in boxers doesn't give the same immediate, "Ha! Ha! There's a guy without his pants!" jolt that briefs do.

You don't see many female characters without their pants in cartoons, except for anime. The only Western cartoon I've seen that regularly uses both male and female nudity for a gag is Futurama, but they would always go the Full Monty.

If it was common, though, I suppose the less sexy the funnier, so plain white cotton panties or granny panties would probably be funnier than something black and lacy. Although they did it with Gwen's dark-colored underwear in Total Drama Island and it was still funny.

it depends on who is watching really, to me boxers are more funny. to you briefs are.

Briefs! There's something about boxers that makes them too "pantsy" (boxer shorts).

It's even funnier when an animal who's shown to be wearing nothing under that shirt whatsover has a pair of undies (briefs!) when his shirt is off.

I think so too. We had a thread recently asking if there were any cartoons these days that didn't resort to toilet humor, and yet we get a thread about underwear. Go figure.

Like toilet humor, underwear gags rely on that principle of basic comedy: universality+taboo=funny
