Cartoon block intro's/outro's

I wonder why cartoon blocks don't have cool intro's to welcome you to the block or cool outro's to bid farewell until next time. I watched 4Kids and all they did was show previews of next weeks shows :(

When I was a kid Fox in my state had a kids club that started at 7 on weekdays and ended at 9 and it played cartoons. Then it came back on at 3 until 5 and played more toons, both blocks had a welcoming opened and a nice farewell closer. I never watched Toonami so I don't know if they offered one. Do any block do that these days?

My guesses would be either lack of money or lack of creativity. Possibly both. It's also worth mentioning that the 1st run syndicated kid vid block has since gone the way of the Do-Do.

Both CN's Toonami and Miguzi did wraparounds, intros and outros for their blocks, but that's cable; undoubtedly they have more money to throw around.

Yeah, to tell the truth, all of Cartoon Network's blocks have at least intros. Don't know if Har Har Tharsdays has an outro, but it's pretty likely. As for Saturday network block, I recall ABC Kids having an intro.

Much like the TV theme song (for live-action shows), imagine such intros/outros have gone by the wayside in order to squeeze in more commercials (aka money). That, and (as noted above) lack of creativity as a lesser reason...

Well that sucks. I could think up a good, weird outro if I was on drugs right now...what, the intro looks like they were on drugs when they made it. And drugs is how we made some of our greatest discoveries. :) Anyway, the lack of an outro sucks, but the awesome intro makes up for it.

When 4Kids TV was originally the FoxBox they use to have an intro that had the "What's Inside the FoxBox?" song before the first show. They only played the intro sometimes though. They even use to show an out outro that featured different characters from the FoxBox shows, each character would say "You've been watching..." and the last character would say "the FoxBox", sometimes it was the Nightmare Ent. guy from Kirby and sometimes it was Master Splinter. When it was the guy from Kirby he would say "The FoxBox, it's Foxilicious."

4Kids TV even use to have outro, but I don't remember what it featured.

I have both FoxBox and 4Kids TV outros on tape, so I think it really depends on your affiliate.

Toonami use to begin all the time with a sweet intro with TOM walking through ship to his chair and would press buttons to start the line-up. The block would end with a "Later" banner. I don't know if this continued when it aired on Saturdays nights, cause I never watched it.

I don't remember anything from Fox Kids or Kids'WB. I have yet to see anything for the CW4Kids either.
