They did do a remake with Angela Beattis (Girl, Interrupted) as Carrie.

I love both movies. I would like to see Carrie remade. It could do with an update cuz i noticed some younger teens who don't like the original version
 
I love the second one also. And I have noticed that Carrie's been on TV a lot lately! :)
 
I seen both thoses are good movies i like part 2 better. carrie comes on tv every night.

Plot Summary:

Carrie White is a shy young girl who doesn't make friends easily. After her class mates taunt her about her horrified reaction to her totally unexpected first period one of them takes pity on her and gets Tommy Ross, her boyfriend and class hunk to invite Carrie to the senior prom. Meanwhile another girl who has been banned from the prom for her continued aggressive behaviour is not as forgiving and plans a trick to embarrass Carrie in front of the whole school. But another girl that has been banned from the prom, Chris Hargenson (Nancy Allen), isn't so forgiving and hatches an evil plan with her boyfriend (John Travolta) that involves Carrie and a bucket full of pig's blood. But what none of the students realize is that Carrie has the power of telekenisis, the power to move things with your mind, and that when you make her mad, she transforms from an innocent girl to a rage-filled monster. Plot Summary:

In 1976, Sue Snell (Amy Irving) watched her life crumble as her boyfriend and most of her friends were killed by telekinetic Carrie White after she was humiliated by sadistic classmate Chris Hargenson at the school prom after being pronounced "Prom Queen." Now, 23 years later, Sue is a counselor at the new high school where she seems to develop most of her time on Rachel Lang (Emily Bergl), a troubled young girl whose best friend (Mena Suvari) has just committed suicide. Rachel is a normal girl, except for the fact that she can move things with her mind from time to time. Some of the football jocks are planning to humiliate Rachel at the "biggest party of the year," using the unknowing Jesse (Jason London) as bait, because she told on them being involved in her friend's death.
