Careers involving sports and players?

I'm looking for a career in sports. I really think that the people involved in a basketball program who help the players overcome injuries would be interesting.(These injuries would include: helping clear out a cramp, taping of an ankle or other body part, helping out with an injury inflicting a players game, ect.) I don't know what this career is called. But, I would love any suggestions as too what career path i could look into that involves basketball(or any other sport) and the players.
