I agree that the boom could be a tad longer, although it does suffice on my configuration.

Can you send details of the HD communication pouch, I haven't come across that
 
I picked up the G4 powerset and attached them to 1/2 helments using the adhesive mount. Once you take off the mic baffles and put a piece of electrical tape over the opening in the back of the mic (you can see the green Circuit board) then replace the baffles with the included thicker ones the sound is great with no wind noise.
 
Check out IMC Moto they are a sponsor on this site. They have a half helmet bluetooth set up that can also be used without a helmet.
 
I just got a set. My wife just started riding and we thought it would be a good system for us while on the road. We each also got a 3/4 helmet - thinking that on highway rides it would help keep the wind noise down.

They worked great! On a four-hour ride at speeds of 60 mph we were able to talk to each other. We couldn't have a normal conversation at those speeds, but could still talk about essential things.

I would recommend them.
