car turns off when ac is turned on?

2002 eclipse 2.4L I haven't had any work done to my car to probably cause this, just the other day I was driving fine but when I come to a stop and the ac is off, the car turns off. But if I have the ac on the car will stay on and at regular RPM's. all this only happens when Im at a stop, it drives fine.
