Car troubles with 1994 Dodge Intrepid. any help?

my intrepid overheated the other day out of nowhere. have had no previous issues..from now on, every time i start the car and try to drive it overheats and the car makes a clicking noise when the engine revs up..

any idea of why this is happening? and is my car even driveable? any hints would be great.

car is a 3.5L 24valve v6 with 98,000 miles if that helps any
oil is fresh and there's plenty in the car. the thermostat & gasket sounds like the problem.
