Car Towed ...

Okay, so I'm a sophomore. The school rule is that sophomores can't drive to school. I do. I also bring with me 2 jrs because they prefer my car over theirs. Some upperclassman reported me for driving, and my car got towed. $100 fine, with no warning, no ticket(s), not even a notification that my car got towed. So at the end of the day, I go outside to get in my car and leave, and it's just not there, so I was stuck at school. In the school rules, it says under a driving agreement: "I realize that if I recieve two (2) tickets, my car may be towed." Had I gotten 2 tickets, or so much as a warning, I wouldn't be so pissed. I figure I'm not going to get my $100 back, but I'd sure like to raise holy hell about it. Any ideas/suggestions?

take it to the freakin principle, what are ya, daft?

but taht does suck. it's the same rule over here, no sophomores allowed to drive. but the sophomores just park at the jr. high or they just park at the library across the street.

Actually, he would have more luck going straight to the school board, or the superintendent. If his intentions are indeed to "raise hell", these would be the best routs.

On a side note: Most schools have that policy for good reason. Your problem could have been very simply avoided by not parking in the lot. You obviously, read the rules ahead of time, and therefore had all the warning you needed.

I did read the rules, which specified a $5 ticked would be issued twice before towing. No tickets, no warning, not even a fucking notification that my car had been towed, so I was walking around the fucking parking lot trying to figure out where my car was and had no ride home.

That's bullshit any way you look at it.

Also, I do happen to know the director of the school board quite well. The problem is that, right now, my township is $700,000 (yes, seven hundred thousand dollars) in debt. So I probably won't get shit back, and therefore, to follow an eye for an eye, want to cause $100 worth of damage *without warning* to our assistant principal, who made the call to tow my car without warning.

In light of this post, I have decided to change my avatar and signatures to Ghandi.

Rally up students and create a peaceful protest. Or just go to Thailand, screw a hooker, and come back feeling fresh and tingly, but not in the good way.

Those red bumps? That's Scabies.

Good luck, that sucks. However, as an old guy like me, I have to also agree with some of the above posters and say that you knew the rule, flaunted it, and got caught. If they would have warned you would you really have stopped driving? If so, you have every right to be pissed. If not, then you would have gotten it eventually. Still I hope you can get out of the 100 dollars, because that just sucks.

bah.. talked to the administration fuckers today. They said this: "you are a sophomore, the implied rule is that, if you drive, you will be towed" Which is bullshit .. but also means that I pretty much can't do shit ... so I'm out $100 :thumbsdn:

tires of the administration could get slashed ... along with the rat basturd fucker that reported you. just make it anonymous.

Go right back down there with your Jr friends. Talk to your folks and cause a fucking stink. Your angle should be a "car pool" thing. The fact that not only are you helping out the school by carpooling these 2 jrs who would be using their cars to come to school and hence populating the school parking lot, but you're also being a good and conscientious citizen.

Make a fucking stink. Carpooling should be encouraged no matter what your school status, instead of discouraged by fines and towing. :motz:
