car Stereo help...i have no sound when i play cd but radio works just fine?

help with car Stereo ,,,,just installed new radio/cd player in vehicle...my radio works but when i play a cd i have no sound...it rrecognizes the cd and plays the songs just no sound..is there a separate wire for cd audio?
